Since we're about to put all the carbs on the table...

Dear Reader,

Just a quick note to tell all of you how grateful I am for you being in my universe this year. The connections we make with each other are what get us through years like this...and beyond.

This is no ordinary Thanksgiving week, and yet some things stay the same: debates over potatoes and concern about weight gain during the holiday period. Here are two resources to guide you:

  1. My latest blog post on avoiding weight gain over the next few weeks. But really, the advice is good year-round.

2. An infographic on white v sweet potatoes from Precision Nutrition to end - or fuel - your family's debates. (Hint: potatoes of any color are awesome and nutritious - its what we do to them that makes them less healthy)

And while you're putting the carbs on the table, remember to:

Plan your meals to stay fueled, balanced, and level-headed,

Give yourself permission to take care of yourself, and

Don't forget to workout
